"GRASSDALE" CLEARING SALE SUCCESS
The Clearing Sale conducted at Grassdale via Dalby on Friday 2nd April was an outstanding success with a total clearance of all the machinery on offer. The sale was conducted by Qld Machinery Auction Services on account of Russell Pastoral Company. The Russell Pastoral Company is a part of a long established Darling Downs rural entity belonging to the Russell Family of Jimbour House.
Equipment sold on the day included a John Deere 8820 Turbo Combine Harvester which, after a long bidding war, was finally purchased by Gordon Cook who was photographed just after his purchase looking a little more relaxed. Gordon is one of the local growers who attended and purchased equipment at this sale. As a result of the direct marketing campaign put together by our company, two of the John Deere 8850 4WD Tractors were sold into South Australia. Another point of interst was the popularity of the Goldacres Boom Spray, for which the competition was strong but was finally sold to another locan gentleman, Warren Bazley. In general, Second-Hand Equipment Sales for 2004 are continuing to remain buoyant around the Darling Downs - as many are enjoying an improved season.
