Dalby, Queensland
Hub of the Downs
Surrounded by some of the most fertile soils in the Continent, Dalby is the major town in a very diverse district. The district is famous for high yielding grain crops, quality cotton crops and the home of some major cattle and sheep feedlots.

Both summer and winter cereal and pulse crops are grown. Some of these crops, together with cotton, are grown by irrigation and water harvested from overland flow, river systems or bores.

The Dalby-Wambo Saleyards hold weekly sales and attract vendors and buyers from near and far.

Dalby's 10,000 residents take advantage of the close proximity of major centres (2 ˝ hours drive to Brisbane, 1 hour to Toowoomba, 3 hours to Gold and Sunshine Coasts), while living and working in a prosperous Queensland country town.

The weather is superb. A subtropical climate ensures comfortable sunny days and cool pleasant nights for most of the year. The average rainfall is 655mm (26") per year.

Housing is very affordable in Dalby, and there is a plentiful town water supply. Conventional home allotments, acreage living, and modern strata title units are all available.

Dalby is an ideal town in which to raise a family. There are excellent educational facilities
including both state and private schools, a TAFE centre, an agricultural college and university campus within 80 kilometres.

Queensland Machinery Auction Services, like Dalby, also offer a wide and diverse range of services to a client base both local and interstate.
